Watch: Barcelona & Real Madrid youngsters combine for Spain U19 goal

Up-and-coming talents at Spanish football’s two leading clubs combined to find the net on the international stage on Wednesday evening.

This came during the meeting between Spain and Croatia at the U19 European Championships.

La Rojita are fresh off booking their spot in the finale of the competition a short time ago. After locking horns with the aforementioned Croatia in Wales, Paco Gallardo’s troops emerged dominant victors, by three goals to nil.

Spain’s eventual triumph was set in motion inside 15 minutes, upon Barcelona full-back Xavi Espart continuing to prove his talents in the attacking third.

After a sleek passage of passing culminated in the 19-year-old being picked out on the edge of the penalty area, Espart made no mistake in directing a fine driven finish into the far corner.

Bagging the assist, meanwhile, was a player whose name will be a familiar one to those of a Real Madrid persuasion, in the form of midfield starlet Thiago Pitarch.
