Barcelona president Joan Laporta took full advantage of the opportunity to have some fun at the expense of a Real Madrid supporter on Wednesday.
This of course comes fresh off Los Blancos being put to the sword by Liverpool yesterday evening.
Barcelona are for their part primed to turn focus back towards matters on the continent later today, when they make the trip to Belgium for a Champions League meeting with Club Brugge.
In the buildup to kick-off, the aforementioned Joan Laporta therefore stopped for a brief exchange with the media this afternoon.
During as much, a passing Real Madrid fan interrupted, by shouting ‘Hala Madrid’ in the direction of Barca’s president.
And Laporta had the perfect response at the ready, hitting back at the supporter in question with:
”Yesterday was rough!”
Real Madrid were of course condemned to just a 2nd defeat of the season at Anfield on Tuesday.
Despite the heroics of no.1 Thibaut Courtois, a solitary Alexis Mac Allister header proved enough to force Xabi Alonso’s troops to face up to a deserved 1-0 loss.
