A group of supporters of La Liga champions Barcelona on Thursday sent a crystal clear message the way of Fermín López, regarding his future at the club.
This, of course, comes amid mounting speculation linking the 22-year-old with a departure from Catalunya’s capital.
Fermín is for his part the subject of an active transfer push on the part of Premier League outfit Chelsea.
The Blues are understood to have earmarked the Spanish international as a leading target ahead of the upcoming transfer deadline, ready to spend big to convince Barcelona of a sale.
Fermín himself, meanwhile, is said to be mulling over the merits of a Stamford Bridge switch.
After not being afforded a single minute of playing time en route to Barca’s weekend victory over Levante, the attacking midfielder, all of a sudden, has been labelled as somewhat unsettled in Hansi Flick’s squad.
And as alluded to above, with as much in mind, sections of the Blaugrana fanbase on Thursday moved to reassure Fermín when it comes to his place at the club.
Gathering outside the Ciutat Esportiva, the supporters in question could be heard chanting:
‘Fermín quedate! Fermín quedate! (Fermín stay! Fermín stay!)
