Barcelona star Fermín López was on Monday the latest ‘victim’ of the traditional ‘tunnel of slaps’ at the club’s training ground.
This comes in response to the midfielder being afforded a new contract in Catalunya’s capital.
Youngster Fermín is for his part fresh off committing his long-term future to Barcelona, late last week.
Just rewards for a stellar recent stretch of individual form, the Spanish international was handed a new deal, through the summer of 2031.
In the process, the Blaugrana brass put to bed once and for all the long-term speculation surrounding Fermín’s future at the club.
And as alluded to above, early this week, the 22-year-old was at the centre of a traditional celebration at the Ciutat Esportiva.
As Hansi Flick’s squad prepared to kick their morning training session into gear on Monday, Fermín was put through a ‘tunnel of slaps’ by his teammates.
