The agent of Barcelona star Vitor Roque has on Friday provided an insight into his client’s prospects under the new management regime at the club.
Roque, of course, has been heavily tipped for a Barcelona exit over the course of recent months.
As much comes after Xavi made clear that he was not a believer in the talents possessed by the January arrival in Catalunya’s capital.
Recent days, however, have seen the situation take on an altogether new complexion.
With Xavi having been dismissed, and Hansi Flick hired in his place, Roque’s future has become even less clear.
If the latest comments on the part of the frontman’s agent are anything to go by, though, then Flick’s arrival at Barcelona spells good news for his client.
As much comes amid the assurance that Roque will now ‘start from scratch’ in Blaugrana colours:
“Vitor Roque expected more minutes with Xavi,” explained André Cury to Radio Marca, as cited by Diario Sport. “Now, with the new coach he is starting from scratch. In front of him he has a world-class player like Lewandowski. Vini (Vinícius Jr), for example, took two years to adapt.”
