An insight into the central role played by Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. in the club landing Jude Bellingham has this week been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Relevo, who shine a light on the close bond to have been cultivated between the pair across the season to date.
Bellingham, of course, opted to link up with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real last summer, from Borussia Dortmund.
Prior to the in-demand Englishman deciding on his next destination, however, he had long been contacted by Vinícius, through Instagram.
Affording the Santiago Bernabéu brass a helping hand, the Brazilian talked up the merits of a move to Spain’s capital, from both a sporting and lifestyle perspective.
As much proved important to Bellingham, who felt as though he had already built a relationship with one of Real Madrid’s most high-profile stars, before even joining the club.
And Vinícius’ efforts to aid his teammate’s adaptation only continued after his arrival was made official, with the 23-year-old having invited Bellingham and his mother to his family home on a number of occasions.
‘They helped them in everything they could: they gave them advice on where to live, what to do in Madrid, information about the club and other necessities that the Bellinghams required,’ Relevo add.
Such endeavours proved vital in helping Real’s incoming midfielder to adapt to life not only at the club, but in his new home.
A true testament to both Vinícius’ character, and commitment to the cause in Madrid.
