Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has sent credit the way of a former teammate in Spain’s capital, following his moment of brilliance in the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Luka Modrić.
Frontman Vinícius is for his part of course fresh off a productive evening’s work on Tuesday.
Afforded a starting berth in Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Levante, the Brazilian dazzled from his berth in the final third.
En route to a 4-1 Blancos triumph, Vinícius notched both a goal and an assist.
It was the former effort, though, which turned heads across Spain and beyond.
As much came after the 25-year-old found the net in nothing short of spectacular fashion, bending a ‘Trivela’ strike into the far corner of the Levante goal from a tight angle.
Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, Vinícius, in turn, was drawn on the technical excellence involved in his strike.
And the winger made use of the opportunity to send credit the way of former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modrić, explaining:
“Luka taught me how to score trivela goals! We miss him.”
