Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has taken to social media, to aim a less-than-subtle dig at Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone.
This of course comes fresh off another string of heated exchanges between the pair on Friday night.
The latest edition of the Madrid Derby was played to completion yesterday evening, in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup.
When all was said and done, it was Real Madrid who emerged triumphant, by two goals to one.
As alluded to above, though, Los Blancos’ eventual victory did not come without its dramas along the way.
Vinícius Jr. and Diego Simeone were the lead protagonists in a number of heated exchanges over the course of the 90 minutes.
As the latter did his utmost to get under the skin of Real Madrid’s star winger, Vinícius finally exploded on his way off the pitch late on.
The Brazilian lost his cool as Simeone highlighted the boos and whistles being aimed at Vinícius from the crowd.
As alluded to above, though, post-match, the latter got his revenge…
Taking to his official Instagram account following Real Madrid’s victory, Vinícius wrote:
‘He (Simeone) has lost another qualifier match’
