A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Villarreal is attracting interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who highlights Sergi Cardona as the player in question.
Spaniard Cardona is for his part fresh off a stellar campaign in 2024/25.

As revealed by the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, Cardona’s contract at La Ceràmica contains a release clause set at an altogether reasonable €15 million.
And with as much in mind, a number of English clubs have begun sniffing around the defender’s signature with a view to the 2025/26 campaign:
It now remains to be seen if the Villarreal hierarchy can stave off the riches of the Premier League to keep hold of a key member of Marcelino’s squad.
