Matías Dituro could return to La Liga in 2022-23, according to Marca.
The Argentinian goalkeeper, who played with Celta Vigo last season, is on Villarreal’s radar.
The Yellow Submarine have not renewed Sergio Asenjo’s contract and are looking for a goalkeeper.
Celta informed the 35-year-old the day before the last league game of the 2021-22 season that they would not exercise their €1.8 million buy option, which led to Dituro returning to Universidad Católica.
Dituro reportedly wants to stay in La Liga and he is open to the option of Villarreal. At La Cerámica he would be competing for a place with his compatriot Gero Rulli.
