Víctor Muñoz dedicates stunning first Osasuna goal to absent teammate Rubén García

Osasuna summer signing Víctor Muñoz made use of the opportunity to send a message of support to teammate Rubén García on Thursday evening.

This comes after the former opened his account in the colours of his new club.

Osasuna are currently locked in action on the La Liga front.

Eyeing a return to winning ways, the Rojillos have welcomed newly-promoted Elche to El Sadar for a La Liga clash.

And as things stand, it is the aforementioned Víctor Muñoz who boasts the title of match-winner.

As much comes owing to a moment of individual brilliance, which saw the former Real Madrid talent cut inside onto his right foot before picking out the far corner by way of a stunning strike from distance.

And as alluded to above, Muñoz used his maiden Rojillos goal as a chance to send a message of support to teammate Rubén García.

Osasuna announced ahead of kick-off on Thursday that winger García would be absent for the evening ‘for personal reasons’.

Muñoz, in turn, made his way to the hosts’ bench, to hold up a jersey featuring the name and number of the 32-year-old:
