Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this weekend provided his take on the arrival of Marcus Rashford at the club.
This of course comes as the pair prepare to link up in Hansi Flick’s frontline.
Frontman Rashford of course finally sealed his long-awaited Barcelona switch earlier this week.
Following months of rampant speculation, the Englishman put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal, featuring an option to buy, at the Camp Nou.
Rashford is expected, initially at least, to act as a backup option in the Blaugrana’s frontline, ready to step in in the case of any of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha or Robert Lewandowski being unavailable.
And as alluded to above, on Saturday, the latter of this trio has had his say on the arrival of his new teammate.
Drawn on Rashford’s signing during an exchange with the media in Japan, Lewandowski explained:
“He is a very talented player, he is fit and can help us in different positions. His versatility will be very important and that is good for the team.”
