La Liga outfit Valencia returned to training on Monday without a leading member of the club’s first-team ranks.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards André Almeida as the player in question.
Versatile midfielder Almeida was for his part forced into a premature departure from Valencia’s most recent outing this past weekend.
En route to a 3-0 victory over Getafe, the 24-year-old suffered a concussion, which left him unable to recall matters during the 2nd-half.
And though he was not ultimately forced to attend the hospital for medical checks, Valencia are understandably keen not to take any risks with Almeida.
As per a report from MD, the Portuguese trained separately from the rest of Carlos Corberán’s squad on Monday morning.
Almeida’s status to feature in Los Che’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés on Wednesday night, in turn, is considered as somewhat up in the air.
