A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Valencia has reached an agreement with the club over the terms of a contract renewal.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing COPE, who point towards André Almeida as the player in question.
Attacking midfielder Almeida is for his part fresh off a difficult start to the new campaign, culminating in just 22 total minutes across Valencia’s first four league fixtures.
As much follows a summer which saw the Portuguese heavily linked with a departure from Mestalla, amid serious interest in his signature by way of Turkey.
The latest word stemming from the Valencia camp may therefore come as something of a surprise.
This comes amid confirmation by way of MD that Almeida has agreed on a contract extension through the summer of 2029.
The deal also features an improved salary, bringing the 25-year-old into the middle of the pack when it comes to earners in Carlos Corberán’s squad.
