Valencia reach contract agreement with Liverpool star

The brass at La Liga outfit Valencia have on Friday moved a step closer to sealing a surprise move for an out-of-favour member of the midfield ranks at Premier League giants Liverpool.

This comes amid confirmation that Los Che have reached an agreement on the personal terms of a contract with Harvey Elliott.

The name of attacking midfielder Elliott has emerged as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines over the last 24 hours. Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements heading into the new campaign, the aforementioned Valencia touched base with the camp of the 23-year-old, to gauge his interest in a move to La Liga.

Elliott is for his part fresh off a hugely underwhelming campaign in 2025/26, culminating in just four Premier League appearances across a year-long stint with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

Understandably keen to get his career back on track, the former England youth international in turn opened the doors to a Mestalla switch. And as alluded to above, on Friday, the Valencia board have moved a significant step closer to landing their man.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Harvey Elliott has agreed personal terms with Valencia following positive talks today. Negotiations underway with Liverpool to get the deal done on club side.’
