Valencia are in negotiations with Real Madrid over a deal for Spanish striker Borja Mayoral, according to Valencia-based journalist Hector Gomez.
Valencia are looking to replace their former striker Rodrigo Moreno, who officially joined Leeds United on Saturday. Talks are advancing between the clubs as Los Che look to get the deal over the line in time for the start of the new La Liga season on September 12. Mayoral, 23, spent the last two seasons on loan at Valencia’s rivals Levante, and has shown his desire to join up with Javi Gracia’s men at Mestalla, telling his representatives it is where he wants to play.
