La Liga outfit Valencia have identified a member of the midfield ranks at Nantes as a leading transfer target ahead of the summer.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Pedro Chirivella as the player in question.
Valencia’s midfield is expected to undergo something of a makeover with a view to next season.
With Enzo Barrenechea primed to return to parent club Aston Villa, and both Javi Guerra and André Almeida garnering widespread interest, Los Che are likely to require engine room reinforcements.
And already being eyed up as one potential addition, as alluded to above, is Nantes star Pedro Chirivella.
Chirivella, for his part, previously spent time developing on the books of Valencia, before departing for Premier League heavyweights Liverpool to continue his development.
After bouncing around Europe on a series of loan deals, he was then sold to Ligue 1 outfit Nantes on a permanent basis back in 2020.
And his most recent performances in France, it is understood, have impressed the Valencia brass to the point of a reunion being strongly taken into consideration this summer.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Valencia have Pedro Chirivella, the Spanish midfielder from Nantes, on their agenda. The player, whose contract expires in 2026, is looking favourably on a possible return to Spain.’
