La Liga outfit Valencia are giving consideration to a late-window swoop for a member of the goalkeeper ranks at Premier League side Leeds United.
That’s according to journalist Héctor Gómez, who points towards Ilian Meslier as the player in question.
Valencia could yet be forced to dip back into the market for reinforcements between the posts before the summer is out.
As much comes with Stole Dimitrievski understood to be inching towards the Mestalla exit door.
Dimitrievski has fallen out of favour over the early weeks of the new season, replaced in Valencia’s goal by summer signing Julen Agirrezabala.
And in the case of the Macedonian moving on, Los Che, it is understood, already have a favoured replacement in mind.
As per a report from the aforementioned Héctor Gómez:
‘The French goalkeeper Ilian Meslier is very well positioned in case Dimitrievski leaves Valencia.’
Meslier is for his part also out of favour at present, now considered 3rd-choice in Leeds’ squad behind both Karl Darlow and Lucas Perri.
