Two summer signings and a long-term injury absentee: Real Madrid’s XI vs Leganés

The XI of players called upon by new Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso for the club’s meeting with Leganés on Friday has been unveiled online.

Real, for those who may have missed it, were back in action earlier today.

Amid ongoing preparations for the new La Liga campaign, Los Blancos locked horns with the recently-relegated Leganés, in a behind-closed-doors friendly clash.

When all was said and done in the Spanish capital, the former emerged on the right side of a 4-1 result.

And as alluded to above, with the dust having now settled on the outing, details of Real Madrid’s line-up have come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Javier Martin of Diario AS, who confirms that summer signings Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras both featured from the off this morning.

So too did long-term injury absentee Dani Carvajal, with Alonso having made use of the opportunity to field an all-out attacking quartet of Brahim Díaz, Vinícius Jr, Kylian Mbappé and Gonzalo García up top.
