Two Real Madrid teammates to join Kylian Mbappé at Ballon d’Or ceremony

A trio of first-team stars from La Liga giants Real Madrid intend to make the trip to this evening’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.

This comes amid Kylian Mbappé’s ongoing hopes of ultimately being crowned world football’s standout player.

The latest ‘Golden Ball’ gala is of course set to take place on Monday night. Heading into the event, a trio of stars have long emerged as the frontrunners to lift this year’s grand prize.

These three come in the form of Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, and the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé.

Owing to the latter’s presence amongst the favourites, Real Madrid, as a club, recently made the call to end their boycott of the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

And as alluded to above, two fellow members of José Mourinho’s squad are therefore ready to join Mbappé in his expedition to England’s capital. As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Not only Kylian Mbappé; also Yan Diomandé and Marc Cucurella travel with the Real Madrid delegation to the Ballon d’Or.’
