Two Real Madrid stars manage career firsts vs Real Betis

Two members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday secured for themselves individual history.

This comes owing to their respective exploits against Real Betis.

Los Blancos are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front.

In their first outing of the new year, Xabi Alonso’s troops have welcomed the aforementioned Betis to Spain’s capital, for a La Liga clash.

As things stand, Real Madrid look well on their way to a three-point haul, leading by three goals to one.

And it is the hosts’ two goalscorers who have made history on Sunday…

The first comes in the form of Gonzalo García, afforded a rare starting berth for the evening in the absence of Kylian Mbappé.

And the young Spaniard has responded with a fine brace, marking his first-ever double in senior football.

Gonzalo, though, is not the only young Real Madrid talent to have enjoyed a memorable outing to date against Betis.

Rising high to nod home a superb header from a Rodrygo corner during the 2nd-half, Raúl Asencio in the process notched his maiden senior goal for Los Merengues.
