As reported by Relevo’s Samuel Silva, Trabzonspor are close to reaching an agreement over the signing of Marc Bartra from Real Betis.
As the Turkish Süper Lig has already started, the club have accelerated negotiations in the last couple of days and want to complete the deal as soon as possible so that the central-defender can join the rest of the team.
It is also in Real Betis’ interest to push the deal across the line quickly so that they can free up the budget necessary to register their new signings for their upcoming La Liga campaign, which is set to start against Mallorca this coming Saturday.
A product of La Masia, Bartra arrived to Los Verdiblancos from Borussia Dortmund in 2018. He has accumulated nearly 150 appearances for the Andalucían side in the last four years in all competitions. However, the 31-year-old has failed to keep his place in the starting XI these past two seasons.
