Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison has taken to social media, to reveal his bemused response to the news of compatriot Raphinha missing out on a place in the FIFPRO World XI.
The name of wide-man Raphinha has of course taken its place centre stage in the media chatter across Spain and beyond over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the 29-year-old was not afforded a spot in the FIFPRO XI – intended to recognise the standout performers in world football over the prior 12 months.
Raphinha racked up 60 direct goal contributions in the 2024/25 campaign, but was overlooked to make room for the likes of Lamine Yamal, and Cole Palmer.
The reaction to as much has since been one of frustration on the part of Barcelona’s fans, as well as those closest to the former Leeds United man.
And as alluded to above, adding his name to the list of those evidently unhappy with Raphinha’s FIFPRO absence on Tuesday has been Richarlison.
Taking to the comments section of an Instagram post highlighting his fellow countryman’s omission, Tottenham star Richarlison wrote:
