Real Madrid icon Toni Kroos took to social media in the aftermath of Brazil’s World Cup meeting with Haiti on Saturday morning.
This came to send a message of appreciation the way of former teammate Vinícius Jr.
Attacker Vinícius is of course fresh off his latest standout showing at this summer’s international showcase in North America. After clinching Man of the Match honours for his efforts in Brazil’s opening day draw with Morocco, the 25-year-old managed the same in victory over minnows Haiti.
En route to a 3-0 Seleção triumph, Vinícius bagged a goal and an assist, to keep alive something of a personal resurgence on the international stage.
And as alluded to above, quick to send a message of congratulations to ‘Vini’ post-match was none other than Toni Kroos.
Taking to the comments section of his ex-Real Madrid teammate’s latest Instagram post, midfield legend Kroos wrote:

Vinícius later responded with the message ‘I miss you’
