Alexia Putellas won’t feature for Barcelona against Chelsea in Champions League

AS report that Alexia Putellas will travel to London with the rest of her team-mates for the first leg of Barcelona’s Champions League semi-finals against Chelsea.

Putellas has been training with Barcelona after making a recovery from rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament on international duty last year, although she will not play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

She could make her long-awaited return to action at Camp Nou on April 27 after the serious injury she sustained just before the European Championship last summer.

Claudia Pina and Asisat Oshoala are back in the Barcelona squad after being unavailable for the club’s last game against Atlético Madrid. Reserve team players María Pérez and Vicky López are also in the squad.

On Friday, Barcelona will train at Stamford Bridge at 12.30. Chelsea will train at their own training ground.

Jonatan Giráldez and Lucy Bronze will appear at the pre-match press conference.
