Didier Deschamps has named his France squad for the World Cup this month and it includes six La Liga players.
Jules Koundé (Barcelona), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid), Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid), Ousmane Dembélé (Barcelona), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) & Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid) are all in Deschamps’ squad.
Les Bleus’ first group stage match is against Australia on November 22. The team will meet up on Monday before flying out to Qatar two days later.
Benzema out for Real Madrid
Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema will not feature in Real Madrid’s match against Cádiz on Thursday in the final La Liga fixture before the World Cup break.
It means that the French striker will not have played in the last three games before the tournament in Qatar begins, missing four of his last five matches for Los Blancos.
