The fee Chelsea are ready to pay Atlético Madrid for João Félix

An insight into some of the finer details of the deal being discussed by Atlético Madrid and Chelsea for João Félix has on Saturday been provided.

And the info points towards things moving in the right direction when it comes to an agreement being struck.

It is of course now common knowledge that Chelsea have opened talks with their Atlético counterparts, over the possibility of bringing frontman Félix back to the club, on this occasion on a permanent basis.

After the Blues opted to pull the plug on their move for Samu Omorodion at the last minute, the name of Félix returned to the fore, as discussions over Conor Gallagher’s Madrid switch continue to rumble on, too.

To date, Chelsea’s efforts have proven fruitless, with the brass at the Wanda Metropolitano continuing to demand a premium fee for a player who, on his day, is more than capable of changing a game courtesy of a moment of individual magic.

If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, though, then, this weekend, things appear to have taken a step in the right direction.

As per a report from Eduardo Burgos of Diario AS:

‘João Félix has already given his approval to Chelsea’s proposal. Negotiations are progressing and will soon be concluded. Fixed fee between €45-50M.’
