La Liga giants Barcelona are set to be without a quartet of headline stars for their upcoming meeting with Valencia.
As much comes amid what have been a difficult last few weeks for the Blaugrana on the personnel front.
Barcelona are of course primed to return to action later this evening.
After seeing arch rivals Real Madrid extend their advantage atop the La Liga table on Saturday, Hansi Flick’s troops will welcome the aforementioned Valencia to Catalunya’s capital, eyeing a return to winning ways.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, Barca will be forced to make do without several key players.
The understanding is that none of Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong or Lamine Yamal will be available for selection on Sunday evening.
This comes owing to respective injury problems suffered over the last couple of weeks.
Of these four, midfielder De Jong is the only one considered as being in any way likely to return in time to face Newcastle United in midweek.
