The 2019-20 Copa del Rey final between Basque clubs Real Sociedad and Athletic Club has been postponed until fans can safely attend, according to Marca.
On Tuesday an agreement was reached between the RFEF, La Liga, and the National Sports Council to officially postpone the final until it is safe to be played in front of supporters.
The expectation is that the final will be held next season, possibly the week before the 2021 cup final. Both Real Sociedad and Athletic Club will still qualify for Europe through their respective places in La Liga and as finalists in the prestigious cup competition.
This year’s all-Basque final was scheduled to take place at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville on April 18.
