Tchouaméni’s Arda Güler penalty plea ignored by Joselu in Real Madrid’s win over Girona

An insight into the efforts of Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni to afford young teammate Arda Güler the chance to open his account in the club’s colours has been provided this evening.

Midfielder Güler, of course, positioned himself at the forefront of the headlines in Spain’s capital late on Saturday night.

This came upon the Turk, after being introduced off the bench in Real Madrid’s La Liga showdown with Girona, providing the Blancos faithful with another glimpse into his stellar talents.

With his side four goals to the good, and proceedings largely petering out, Güler lit up the Santiago Bernabéu, courtesy of a jinking run into the visitors’ penalty area.

Then adjudged to have been taken down by Yan Couto, the 18-year-old, in turn, afforded Carlo Ancelotti’s troops the opportunity to add yet further gloss to the scoreline.

Many of a Blancos persuasion quickly made clear their hope that Güler himself would step up to take responsibility of the spot-kick, with the starlet yet to find the net since making the move to Spain last summer.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, it would appear that Real’s supporters were joined by a headline member of the club’s squad in pushing for Güler to step up.

As per a report from Relevo, Aurélien Tchouaméni approached Joselu, prior to his effort from 12 yards, to request that the ball be handed to their up-and-coming teammate.

In the end, however, Joselu was unmoved, only to crash his ensuing penalty off the upright and out.
