La Liga champions Barcelona are being urged to sanction a deal for Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries this summer.
That’s according to transfer journalist Gianluigi Longari, who has early this week provided an insight into the situation.
Defender Dumfries has of course been hotly tipped for a potential Camp Nou switch across the summer to date.
This comes with the Dutchman understood to have piqued the attentions of those behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital with his two standout performances in the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs this past season.
As of yet, Barcelona have not moved forward with any sort of official approach for Dumfries.
As alluded to above, though, if super agent Jorge Mendes has his way, this situation will be altered imminently.
As per a report from journalist Gianluigi Longari:
‘Jorge Mendes is pushing Barcelona (to move) for Denzel Dumfries of Inter.’
It is also noted, however, that:
‘At the moment, the Blaugrana club have not delved deeper because the plan is to rely on Jules Koundé as the starter in the role.’
