Former Real Madrid star David Alaba has this week found for himself a new employer, to prolong his playing days. This comes amid confirmation of the Austrian preparing to pen terms with Serie A side Udinese.
Stopper Alaba was of course one of several high-profile players granted a departure from Spain’s capital this past summer.
Following the expiration of his Real Madrid contract terms after another year spent largely on the sidelines, Alaba was allowed to move on as a free agent.
The 34-year-old has spent the months since talking through all available options with his representatives, in search of a new club. And as alluded to above, this week, Alaba is understood to have found precisely that.
As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘David Alaba to Udinese, exclusive story confirmed and here we go! Former Real Madrid and FC Bayern centre-back signs a one-year deal until June 2027 with the Italian club.’
