‘Strong chance’ Real Madrid will bring youngster back to the club next summer

La Liga giants Real Madrid are giving strong consideration to activating their buyback clause on Nico Paz next summer.

This comes amid the Argentine’s stellar stint on the books of Serie A outfit Como.

Midfielder Paz was given the green light to depart Real Madrid back in the summer of 2024, securing a permanent move to Italy with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como.

And the 21-year-old has since gone on to establish himself as one of the standout breakthrough talents in not only Italy, but all of Europe.

After racking up six goals and nine assists across his debut Serie A season, Paz has followed up with a further eight direct goal contributions in just 11 outings this time round.

And all the while, waiting in the wings are those behind the scenes at Real Madrid…

Los Blancos had the option to bring Paz back to the club this past summer, courtesy of a cut-price buyback clause.

After opting against activating as much, though, 2026 looks set to be a different story entirely.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of The Athletic that:

‘There is a strong chance that they will bring him back next summer.’
