A member of the loan army at La Liga giants Barcelona was on Friday afforded his first appearance for his new club.
The player in question? Héctor Fort.
Youngster Fort for his part sealed a deadline day move away from Catalunya’s capital.
After it was made clear to the full-back that he did not feature in the plans of Hansi Flick for the season ahead, Fort linked up with La Liga newcomers Elche on loan for the duration of the campaign.
On Friday night, the 19-year-old, in turn, was handed his Elche debut.
En route to a 2-2 draw with Sevilla, the Spaniard was introduced off the bench in the game’s closing stages.
And Fort went on to manage the following during his time on the pitch:
- 8 touches
- 2/2 passes completed
- 2/4 ground duels won
- 1/1 aerial duels won
- 2 tackles
- 2 clearances
