Mixed Martial Arts icon and long-time Real Madrid fan Khabib Nurmagomedov has made known his feelings regarding the dismissal of Blancos head coach Xabi Alonso.
And the Russian, true to form, has not held back…
Tactician Alonso of course saw his short-lived stint on the bench in Spain’s capital brought to a close earlier this week.
After Real Madrid were condemned to defeat in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup, club and manager made the call to go their separate ways.
The decision has since sparked widespread chatter across the world of football, as many make clear their feelings that Alonso was not afforded a fair chance to prove his talents.
And as alluded to above, one individual who appears to share such a viewpoint is Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Taking to his official Instagram account early this week, former UFC Lightweight champion unveiled a photo of Alonso, accompanied by the caption:
‘There is nothing like loyalty. 1 year ago they begged him, now they fired him because of spoiled KIDS. Xabi, you are the BEST.’
