After his return to professional football, Mason Greenwood had a good season at Getafe last year. He was named the club’s player of the season, scoring 10 goals and achieving six assists in 36 games.
Following his solid performances on loan for the Madrid club, the controversial striker has no shortage of potential suitors.
According to Diario Sport, one such club is Barcelona, who see Greenwood as a budget-friendly option to boost their attacking options.
The club have already begun to make moves to enquire about the player, but have stopped short of making any formal offers, given uncertainties about the funds they will have to work with this summer.
The magic number which Manchester United are looking for in exchange for the striker is €60 million, and several other clubs such as Fenerbahçe, Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Juventus are also in the race for his signature.
A move to Fenerbahçe is an especially interesting one, given that it is their manager Jose Mourinho who gave him his first break at Manchester United.
The future of Mason Greenwood will be an interesting one to keep tabs on this summer, given the sheer quantity of possible destinations where he may end up.
