A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Saturday come in for some surprise praise online.
This comes by way of the Blaugrana’s most recent opponents, Slavia Praha.
Barca of course made the trip to Czechia earlier this week, for a Champions League meeting with capital outfit Slavia.
When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged on the right side of a 4-2 result.
The visitors conjured up several brilliant goals on the evening, one of which was netted by Dani Olmo just beyond the hour mark.
After picking the ball up just outside the Slavia penalty area, Spanish international Olmo bent a sumptuous effort into the far top corner.
So impressive was the strike, that the former RB Leipzig man has since earned recognition from the side against whom it came.
Taking to their official Instagram account on Saturday, Slavia Praha unveiled a video of Olmo’s goal, accompanied by the caption:
‘Sometimes you just gotta appreciate a great goal’
