Sevilla star ready to push for January exit

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is ready to seek out a winter exit from the club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ørjan Nyland as the player in question.

Shot-stopper Nyland has for his part endured a difficult time of things at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán of late.

As much comes with the 25-year-old having lost his no.1 status in Matías Almeyda’s squad to summer signing Odysseas Vlachodimos.

This development comes at an awkward time for Nyland, ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

En route to Norway all but securing their place at the 2026 showpiece, the veteran goalkeeper has acted as first-choice for his country.

Aware that a lack of game time at club level could culminate in him losing his place, though, Nyland, as per MD:

‘has already instructed his agents to look into things and, if the sporting situation remains unchanged, to move up his departure from the club and try to find a team in the winter transfer window.’
