Serie A champions Napoli are ready to reignite their pursuit of Sevilla star Juanlu Sánchez following the turn of the year.
This comes with the Partenopei considering the versatile full-back a ‘priority’ signing.
Juanlu was hotly tipped for a move to Naples this past summer, after Antonio Conte’s side kicked into gear an all-out assault on his signature.
When all was said and done, no such transfer was forthcoming, after the Italian heavyweights refused to meet Sevilla’s €20 million price-tag.
As alluded to above, though, Napoli have evidently not yet been deterred.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the brass at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona have kicked back into gear negotiations with their counterparts in Seville.
This comes with a view to bringing Juanlu to Serie A on a permanent basis during the winter transfer window.
Should a deal for the 22-year-old still not be feasible, Napoli have earmarked Sacha Boey (Bayern Munich) and Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Genoa) as alternatives.
