Sevilla dealt defensive injury blow before Celta Vigo clash

Quique’s Sevilla have been dealt a considerable blow on the personnel front, ahead of the club’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments at the Nervionenses’ training base.

There were a pair of notable absentees from group activities today, in the form of Loïc Badé, and Youssef En-Nesyri.

The former’s omission came as an altogether more significant one, amid confirmation that stopper Badé has picked up a muscular problem, in the form of a ‘myotendinous injury in the soleus of his left leg’.

He has, as a result, been ruled out of Sevilla’s clash with Celta Vigo this coming Sunday.

Frontman En-Nesyri, on the other hand, was put through his paces in Andalusia this morning, albeit as part of an individualised programme.

This comes with the Moroccan continuing to struggle with a knock picked up last weekend.

Unlike Badé, though, he has not yet been ruled out of the upcoming round of La Liga fixtures.
