Sevilla close deal for Ajax talent Stanis Idumbo Muzambo

The powers that be at Sevilla have closed an agreement for the club’s first signing of the January transfer window.

The player set to take his talents to Andalusia with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign? Stanis Idumbo Muzambo.

For those not familiar with his name, Muzambo is a highly-regarded up-and-coming teen, who is currently plying his trade with Dutch giants Ajax.

The Belgian is an attacking midfielder by trade, but his host of technical talents mean that Muzambo is also more than capable of lining out on the wing, too.

Having kept a close eye on his development across the season to date, Sevilla recently opened negotiations with their counterparts at Ajax, in an effort to bring the 18-year-old to La Liga.

And, as alluded to above, this evening, they have struck a deal for precisely that.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, which will see Muzambo join Sevilla later this coming week.

Ajax, for their part, will recoup €400,000 for his services, with the midfielder primed to put pen to paper on a contract at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán through the summer of 2028.
