La Liga giants Barcelona have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Inter Milan star Alessandro Bastoni.
This comes amid confirmation that the Italian international has given the green light to a move to Catalunya’s capital.
The name of stopper Bastoni has of course emerged as a prominent one in the headlines across Spain over recent weeks.
As much comes after it was widely reported that the 26-year-old has been identified as Barcelona’s no.1 defensive transfer target for the summer.
Left-footed and technically superb, Bastoni is considered the ideal long-term partner for Pau Cubarsí in Hansi Flick’s squad.
And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then it would appear that interest in a joining of forces between the parties is very much mutual.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The player wants to go to the Catalan club and has given the green light to negotiate with Inter.’
Significantly, it is also noted that Inter Milan are ‘open’ to negotiations over a deal.
