Sergio Reguilón set to join Tottenham from Real Madrid

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the signing of Sergio Reguilón for a fee of €30m, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old left-back held talks with Manchester United, but the club refused to accept Madrid’s insistence on a buyback clause and Spurs moved at the last minute to steal the deal and secure the Spaniard’s signature.

Reguilón has agreed personal terms with the London club, who have agreed to the inserted buyback clause option for Madrid. Madrid retain the buyback for two years at a set price of €45m and have the right of first refusal on future transfers. The Spain international will join until 2025.
