Ronaldo tips Kylian Mbappé to lift Ballon d’Or at Real Madrid

Incoming Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé has today been tipped to secure his first-ever Ballon d’Or, by a former winner of the award.

The player in question? Ronaldo Nazário.

Frontman Ronaldo, for his part, is of course widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the storied history of Real Madrid.

The Brazilian icon lined out for Los Blancos for five years from 2002 to 2007, acting as a central figure in the famed ‘Galacticos’ era in Spain’s capital.

Safe to say, then, that Ronaldo knows a thing or two about what is required to succeed in the colours of European football’s most successful club.

The aforementioned Kylian Mbappé, then, will no doubt be thrilled to hear that he has been tipped by the now-47-year-old to ultimately establish himself as world football’s standout player, upon at long last sealing a move to the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Mail on Monday, Ronaldo – himself a multiple time Ballon d’Or winner – was drawn on a whole host of noteworthy topics, not least former club Real Madrid’s latest incoming Galactico.

And O Fenômeno was in no two minds when it comes to the impact he envisions Mbappé making in Spain, in explaining:

“We have to wait until it’s official before talking about it in detail, but everyone is excited about Kylian Mbappe in Madrid. He is an amazing player. He is going to be one of the best players in this moment. I think it’s a very good choice for him if he joins Madrid. I think he will finally get the Ballon d’Or if he joins Real.”
