Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has taken to social media, to send a message of congratulations the way of Joan Laporta.
This of course comes fresh off the Spanish patron being reelected as Blaugrana president.
Laporta brought a close to his latest stint at the summit of the Camp Nou boardroom last month. As much came with a view to running for a 2nd successive spell as president through 2031.
Laporta went head-to-head with main competitor Victor Font for the job, and on Sunday night, the former’s reelection was confirmed.
Laporta racked up a hefty 68.18% of the vote, to Font’s 29.78%.
Messages of congratulations and well-wishes for the years ahead have since come pouring in for Barca’s returning president, from across the Barcelona landscape.
And as alluded to above, adding his name to this list of well-wishers on Monday was none other than Ronaldinho.
Taking to his official ‘X’ account, Barca icon Ronaldinho wrote:
‘Congratulations on your re-election, Joan Laporta! Well done, Presi’
