Ronald Koeman the favourite to take over at Barcelona

Ronald Koeman is the favourite to take over at Barcelona, with the sacking of head coach Quique Setien expected to be announced on Monday, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Following the embarrassing loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals on Friday, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is set to make some drastic changes at the Catalan club. On Monday, the Blaugrana will hold a board meeting that will see former Real Betis boss Setien lose his job with the current Netherlands national team coach Koeman as the favourite to become the new manager, ahead of former player Xavi and Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino. In addition to the managerial position, director Oscar Grau and technical secretary Eric Abidal are also expected to leave.

According to Sport, Bartomeu has personally started negotiations with Koeman about taking over at Camp Nou.
