Speaking to Movistar+ after scoring Real Madrid’s late, late winner against Inter at San Siro, Brazilian winger Rodrygo discussed his goal.
“I’m really happy to have scored the winning goal. I love playing in the Champions League and scoring goals in the Champions League. I always want to play and I know I can help the team, however, I respect the manager’s decisions.”
Rodrygo scored in the 89th minute to hand Madrid all three points in their Group D opener in Milan. Inter had their fair share of chances but an excellent performance by Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois kept the home side out.
