Robert Lewandowski’s agent confirms player’s plans to Barcelona board

The agent of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski reiterated the player’s plans for next season during a recent interview with the Blaugrana.

This comes amid confirmation that the Pole is eager to stay put and fight for his place into next season.

Lewandowski’s future has of course long stood as a prominent talking point in the Spanish media.

As much comes with the former Bayern Munich man’s contract terms continuing to wind down ahead of their current expiration in the summer of 2026.

With ‘Lewa’ set to turn 38 next year, the widespread expectation has long been that he will be allowed to depart as a free agent upon the close of the campaign.

But as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the veteran frontman has not yet given up hope of remaining a Barcelona player.

As per a report from Diario Sport, during a two-hour long meeting last week, Pini Zahavi, Lewandowski’s agent, sent a clear message to Deco and Joan Laporta:

‘The player’s idea is to continue one more year at the club. He looks fit and eager to stay in Barcelona.’
