The agent of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this weekend provided an update on his client’s future with the club.
Frontman Lewandowski has of course continued to play a leading role for Barcelona across the season to date.
All told, in 38 appearances across all competitions, the Polish international has racked up a hugely impressive haul of 34 goals, and three assists.
And yet, despite such stellar numbers, many of a Blaugrana persuasion continue to point towards Lewandowski as a player in need of replacing.
Owing to his age and all-round centre-forward play, it has been suggested that Hansi Flick’s side would be better off with a more mobile option capable of linking up play.
Any such fans keen for Lewandowski to be moved on this summer as a result, however, need not get their hopes up.
This comes with the veteran striker’s agent having today moved to shut down any and all speculation surrounding Lewandowski’s immediate future.
Speaking to 365 Scores, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, Pini Zahavi confirmed:
“Robert will stay at Barça next season, it’s 100% sure. He’s happy at the club. He has a contract there and he will respect it until the end.”
