Robert Lewandowski speaks out on his Barcelona future

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski was on Tuesday drawn once more on his future in Catalunya’s capital.

Joining Hansi Flick during a pre-match press conference ahead of Barca’s Champions League meeting with Club Brugge tomorrow evening, the Pole explained:

“My future? I’m in no hurry… The most important thing is how I feel. Right now, I don’t have to think about my future. I’m very happy and focused on this season. That’s what’s on my mind.”

Chatter has of course long been mounting when it comes to Lewandowski’s prospects beyond the close of the campaign.

As much comes with the legendary goalscorer due to see his contract terms with Barcelona expire.

As things stand, those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou are not understood to be considering the possibility of offering an extension to Lewandowski, chiefly owing to the fact that he is due to turn 38 next summer.

A new adventure in one of the Middle East or MLS is in turn considered the most likely avenue for the former Bayern Munich man.
